Electrical Test & Inspection British Standard BS7671:2008 17th Edition (IEE Wiring Regulations and Guidance Notes)

All employers have legal obligations under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 to ensure that electrical installations and equipment in places of work are safe. The Electrical Installation Condition Report (Fixed Wiring Testing) is the standard method of ensuring your electrical distribution system is safe.

Only experienced engineers qualified to City & Guilds 2360/2391 and IEE Wiring Regulations (17th Edition) are allocated to Test and Inspection operations.

We are accredited by NICEIC and ECA, whose guidelines we adhere to.

The Testing Procedure

Dependant on size of installation we will walk the site with you to identify all the areas that have been previously agreed against a programme of work.

We will agree a planned procedure to ensure that any disruption to your activities or production operations is kept to a minimum.

On arrival at your premises, the engineer will sign in and undergo any site specific Health & Safety training required.

Any serious faults identified will be brought to the attention of the onsite representative for further instructions.

The testing programme will continue until completed.

The report is discussed and issued.

The application of testing your electrical equipment is a simple one, but one that has to be undertaken in order to ensure employee safety and to comply with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

These acts have been created to safeguard the well being of employees. A Portable Appliance Test limits the liability of your company should an accident arise. We are fully qualified and by utilising the latest industry standard test equipment we can ensure that your appliances are as safe as possible. All Portable Appliance Testing is carried out in accordance with The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) code of practice and full public liability insurance.

Upon completion a Certificate of PAT and a PAT schedule will be supplied to demonstrate that your business has complied with all appropriate legislation.
