Fire Alarm & Emergency Lighting

Fire Alarm

Fire Alarm Installations and systems are one of those items that tend to be forgotten about until an incident occurs. All buildings whether publicly or privately owned have a legal requirement for a minimum level of protection. Network EPS can ensure that you have the necessary level of protection to fulfil these requirements, in a cost effective and efficient manner.

Any project starts with a Fire Risk Assessment; this involves a comprehensive assessment of all sites and buildings. Based on the results of the assessment we can then design, install or repair any equipment as necessary to ensure new and existing buildings comply with Fire Regulations and maintain structural fire integrity. We then develop a structured maintenance plan to suit the system, location and environment to which it is installed.

Completing a Fire Risk Assessment can be a confusing process, as can keeping up to date with current legislation. Many business operators simply don’t have the time or money to do this. Failure to meet fire safety requirements may result in heavy fines, imprisonment or worse. You could be putting someone’s life at risk if your business is not compliant.

Network EPS have highly experienced consultants that provide a common sense approach to fire safety. Our consultants are able to provide advice on suitable solutions which will accommodate your current workplace procedures.

Network EPS can provide a comprehensive service for all your fire safety needs in a variety of sectors.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005

This legal government driven requirement places the onus on all property owners, managing agents and landlords to adhere to a set of clear guidelines to provide a safe environment for all occupiers of buildings.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 put responsibility for fire safety in non-domestic properties with a designated responsible person.

The responsible person must carry out fire risk assessments and put in place appropriate fire safety measures, based on the specific circumstances of their premises.

The Order is enforced by periodic inspections or audits by the enforcing authority (usually the fire and rescue authorities).

When the responsible person and the enforcing authority agree that there is a need for improvements to fire precautions but disagree on the technical solution to be used, they may agree to refer the issue to the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government for independent determination under article 36 of the Order.

Emergency Lighting

An emergency light fitting is a battery back up lighting device that activates automatically when a building experiences a power failure or in the event of fire.

Emergency lighting is a legal requirement in both new and existing commercial and high occupancy residential buildings, such as public buildings and care homes.

Emergency lighting covers a broad range of equipment whose aim is to ensure that exits and access are easily found. Network EPS ensures you comply with all current requirements to give you the choice you need, both aesthetically and operationally whilst complying with current regulations, we can ensure you find the best solution.

Emergency Lighting is a requirement of The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
